Lecture Series
Our annual lecture series brings in local and international speakers to help us restart long-neglected conversations about the place of aesthetics in Church culture, and the Christian in secular culture. We hope to challenge and inspire both artists and lovers of the arts to grow in their appreciation for beauty and for the ways that human creativity reflects Divine artistry.
The video of many of our past lecture series events can be found on our YouTube page. We encourage you to check them out.

Living Room Series
Throughout the year we host more intimate community events, such as house concerts, poetry readings, discussion groups, and other special events.
Recent evenings include a Community Arts Night (“Everything Sad Is Coming Untrue”), a poetry reading with Sarah Reardon, and a play reading of “The Importance of Being Earnest.” See all past events.

Workshops
From time to time we offer hands-on workshops led by working artists — recent afternoons have included kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold, and linocut printmaking with illustrator Ned Bustard. Participants of all skill levels are welcome; materials are provided.
Workshops are announced through our email list.

Artists Fellowship
Beauty once lived at the vital center of the Christian faith; too often it has been pushed to its periphery. Christians can feel like strangers in the world of art, and artists just as often feel alienated in the church. The Artists’ Fellowship exists to close that distance.
The Fellowship gathers artists at every stage of their craft — writers, painters, photographers, dancers, songwriters, musicians, filmmakers, and more — meeting seasonally, fall through spring, for evenings of shared work, honest criticism, and prayer — a community built on discipleship, collaboration, and mutual support. Artists need one another to take their craft further; we keep a space where that can happen.
Write to us if you are an artist in the Annapolis area and would like to join, or join our email list for updates.
